At first glance, it seems very logical that Dutch startups move to Silicon Valley. However, according to the American magazine Fortune, Eindhoven has been named one of the best places in the world for startups. What can regions like Eindhoven learn from Silicon Valley? To answer list to data  this question, I visited the Dutch Consulate General in San Francisco. There is a typical culture in Silicon Valley that leads to innovation and successful entrepreneurship. Here are some tips:

Be proud of your product

The most important lesson is to sell your product with passion. Make sure you can present your product or idea convincingly in a short ‘elevator pitch ‘. Although we Dutch are often modest by nature, people in the Valley are absolutely convinced of their own product: yes we can!
Experiment and take risks. Don’t be cautious, but try things out. That’s the basis for innovation . And if it doesn’ clean email t work, you try again, right? Silicon Valley entrepreneurs have little fear of failure.

There is no finish line. Entrepreneurs in Silicon

Valley are not satisfied with the first success of their startup. The product can always be better, more how to prevent data duplication beautiful or more user-friendly. The startup is therefore not sold to the first bidder.
Maintain your network , because your network can mean a lot to you. In Silicon Valley, it’s give and take, with the emphasis on give. Think from the other person’s perspective first.
Don’t be personal and don’t speak out about politics. You may think Bush Jr. is the worst president ever, but your potential partner happens to be a staunch Republican and your possible order has expired. In short, ‘first things first’ and the rest will come later.
